Andrew has performed numerous in-depth and high-impact analyses related to energy and environmental issues since the early 2000s. As a Senior Consultant at Lucid Catalyst, Andrew prepares financial and technical evaluations to identify the most promising opportunities for clean, safe, low-cost energy. He has extensive experience in nuclear cost assessment, including development of the first comprehensive and standardized cost framework for nuclear startups. He has closely tracked nuclear power plant construction projects around the world as well as progress on novel fission and fusion concepts. In addition to his work on nuclear power, Andrew has prepared financial models for examining investment opportunities in various energy startups, roadmaps for entering new energy markets, and policy incentive schemes for accelerating energy innovation.
Andrew earned a B.A. in physics from Amherst College. He then received a Fulbright Scholarship to study government management of offshore oil and gas resources in Norway. He earned a Master in Public Policy with a concentration in Environment and Natural Resources from the Harvard Kennedy School. Before joining Lucid Catalyst in 2014, Andrew led data-driven evaluations of major energy and environmental policies as a senior manager at NERA Economic Consulting.
